Arrows – Credential – Testimonium (the Bonaria) – Pause stones – T-shirts
The blue arrows with yellow tails.
Since the Middle Ages, pilgrims, at every step, have been looking for signs, for the star to reach their destination. Following the tradition of Santiago, the Way of Bonaria also has its arrows: they are blue with a yellow tail. They give comfort especially in the open country stages and keep company in the quiet hours. From Olbia to Cagliari the entire route is traced by direction arrows. They are made of aluminum, wood, or ceramic. You will also find them within population centers. The arrows of the Monte Ortobene – Orani/Sarule stage were made and donated by inmates of Badu ‘e Carros prison.

The Bonaria

It is the certificate, the Compostela, the Testimonium of the Way. It will be issued to the pilgrim who, upon arriving at the destination and showing the Credential, will request it at the “Little Shop” inside the Sanctuary of Bonaria (at the end of the cloister) or in the sacristy.
The stones Siste Viator

All along the route, from Olbia to Cagliari, you will find white granite stones with the inscription Siste Viator, stop pilgrim. They are laid in all towns crossed by the Way and at symbolic places even in the open country. You will find them in the churchyard of all parish churches (where each stage begins), in places of culture and suffering, such as the prisons of Badu ‘e Carros, Quartucciu, Mamone and the Approdo community on the Lula – Nuoro stage. Siste Viator, stop pilgrim for a moment of meditation and to take stock with the experience you are having.
