Hello friends of the Bonaria Walk,

I am sending you a brief summary of my adventure on the Camino de Bonaria. My name is Pavol Porubcan, I am 55 years old and from Slovakia. In my spare time I practice ultra running and other outdoor activities. Together with my partner Katka, we love Sardinia and travel there often. Last year I discovered the Camino di Bonaria website and was fascinated by the idea of running the entire route in one continuous run. I kept thinking about it and, slowly, this dream began to take shape. When the time came, I prepared the GPX tracks, packed my backpack, and left Olbia on Thursday morning. The first day was not easy: it rained almost the whole time and in the afternoon it even snowed. Over the next few days the weather improved and I was able to enjoy the trip. After overnighting in Bitti, Orani, Fordongianus and Guasila, I arrived in Cagliari on Monday afternoon at the Basilica of Our Lady of Bonaria. I completed 353 km with a positive elevation gain of 7,550 meters in five days. It was a very fulfilling experience. Besides running in beautiful nature, I met kind people and got a little closer to the real Sardinia. Thanks to the Cammino team for the support and to Anna from Guasila, who took care of me like a mother.
