I set out because I needed to be alone and to slow down.
To get out a little bit of the everyday pace and that constant thinking, to try to find myself walking, inside nature.
At first it was not easy, especially because of the weather, with constant rain and wind. In some moments I even got lost and there came some discouragement, more because of the fear of not knowing where to go. But I stopped, breathed and slowly moved on.
I never really felt alone. I was alone, but I knew I could count on the referents along the way and the fact that there was always someone on the other side anyway. That gave me security.
Nature was a beautiful discovery. You go from the sea to the mountains, to the woods, and each time the landscape changes completely. The climbs, the fatigue, the changes of environment … all this leads you to be more inside what you are experiencing.
Inside something has changed.
I realized that I have to be more patient, stop more and look at things better. Because even a simple detail, if you really stop, can give you so much.
It was a journey that made me see things differently, more calmly and with more attention.
I would recommend it, because it is an experience that leaves you with something.
If I have to sum up what it gave me, I would say: discovery, patience, wonder, perseverance and constancy.
