On September 2, in the splendid Regia Hall of the Palazzo dei Priori in Viterbo, a memorandum of understanding for ongoing collaboration was signed between the Cammino di Bonaria and the Viterbo section of the Via Francigena. Signing on behalf of the Cammino di Bonaria was our President, Antonello Menne; on behalf of the Associazione delle Vie Francigene, Francesco Ferrari; and on behalf of the City of Viterbo, Mayor Chiara Frontini. The sponsoring entities also signed the agreement, including the Region of Sardinia, represented by Regional Councilor Sebastian Cocco; the Region of Lazio, represented by Regional Councilor Daniele Sabatini; the City of Olbia, represented by Delegate Salvatore Sini; the City of Nuoro, represented by Delegate Francesco Guccini; the Municipality of Guasila, represented by Mayor Paola Casula; the Municipality of Samatzai, represented by Mayor Enrico Cocco; and the Municipality of Sini, represented by Delegate Ottavio Serra. In a subsequent addendum, the other municipalities along the Bonaria Trail will also be invited to sign this important document. The Protocol establishes the terms of collaboration between the two trails and the joint initiatives to be undertaken to promote both routes and the territories they traverse.
