The stage begins in Sini. If you start from Usellus, where you slept yesterday, you may decide to stop, after 8.7 km, in Sini to enjoy the beauty of the Alta Marmilla territory. After yesterday’s challenging stage, it’s worth a stop to restore your body’s breath. You can instead proceed directly to Barumini. If you leave from Sini aim early in the morning for Barumini to have the right amount of time, there are two sites to visit carefully: the nuragic complex Su Nuraxi and the Casa Zapata.
The stage is a succession of emotions. You will walk on the plains and admire the beauty of the small villages of Marmilla: Genuri and then Setzu, the smallest town on the entire Bonaria route. Leaving the municipality of Setzu, crossing some small inter-pasture roads, you will enter the beautiful village of Tuili and then come across the evocative “Sardinia in Miniature” Park: it is worth a stop to take the measurements “from above” of the beautiful island you are crossing. By now you are at the gates of Barumini. At km 12.9 you will be greeted by the stone Siste Viator. In this special place you will find Su Nuraxi, that is, the most important nuragic site in Sardinia, which Unesco (1997) declared a World Heritage Site.
