From the Maria Immacolata parish church, you leave the village of Barumini to take a small inter-modal road to Villanovafranca, where you will arrive after 7.5 km: another Siste Viator entrance stone will welcome you. You may decide to stop for the night in this beautiful hamlet.
Following the path arrows, you will take SP 36, which you will follow for 500 m, then turn right (km 9.6) from where a path of paths and inter-modal roads begins that will take you to Guasila. At its entrance, on the right (km 22.2), you will find the Siste Viator entrance stone; you will advance until you reach the parish church of Santa Maria Assunta (km 23). You are in the heart of Trexenta, an important historical region of Sardinia, much loved by the ancient Romans for its excellent grain.
Variant – 15.3 km from Barumini you will find a stream, in case of flood follow the signs that say “Variant”. Go straight for about 1.7 km. When you reach SP 35, turn left and go straight for about 1.3 km, then turn left. Travel another 700 meters and then rejoin the path to Guasila. Below you will find the digital trail.
