Depending on your schedule you may decide to stay overnight in Samatzai.
The stage is not challenging. After riding along via Madonna d’Itria and greeting, at the Guasila exit, another Siste Viator stone, you will continue to Samatzai, where you will arrive after 9.4 km. Samatzai marks the transition from Trexenta to the Campidano plain. It is a village that tells the resistential and peaceful history of the Sardinians, a people dedicated to work and concord. You can stop in Samatzai to eat and sleep. At the exit (km 10.3) you will find the Siste Viator stone that will greet you and ask you to carry a memory of this beautiful village in your heart. Following the arrows, along a dirt path you will arrive at the gates of Ussana (km 21.2), crossing an ancient Roman bridge. At the entrance to the village you will find the Siste Viator stone. Continuing on, you will arrive at the parish church dedicated to San Sebastiano (km 22,2): unfasten your backpack and enter this beautiful church, on the right you will find the statue of the Madonna di Bonaria. From this moment you will begin to smell the scent of the final destination of the Camino.
