I’m a 23-year-old guy; I’m a student in Bologna, and on July 25, I arrived at the Basilica of Bonaria after leaving Olbia on July 11.
I set out with the desire to hike, venturing into new territory, and that’s how I got the chance to have a fantastic experience.
On this journey, every little thing—like a bed, a shower, a cucumber, a bit of shade, a sunrise, or a meal shared with others—was a source of joy and energy that was essential for me to keep going and make it to the end. That was the true magic of my journey: from one stop to the next, I encountered new things and people who spurred me on. All of this made me realize that in life, every now and then, it’s good to stop and catch your breath, look back, see how far you’ve come, and reap the rewards.
I’m returning home with greater confidence in myself and with my heart full of beautiful landscapes and excellent food—but above all, filled with wonderful, cherished people who made this journey a unique experience that I will always carry with me. Thank you again.
